IN BETWEEN
In Between: A Card Game for the VIC
20 or Commodore 64
Written by: Bruce Jaeger
PowerPlay Magazine, March 1985
Page 94
This game is fairly simple to play.
First of all, you are dealt 2 cards
which are face up. You are then to
bet on whether you think the next card
will be 'in between' the first two.
For example, if your first two cards
are a Jack and a King, then the odds
are pretty slim of getting a Queen.
Therefore, you would bet very little.
On the other hand, if the two cards
were a two and a King, then the odds
are excellent for winning. Therefore,
you would bet a good bit of money.
The maximum you are allowed to bet on
any one hand is the amount in the pot
or how much you actually have, which-
ever is the least. If the computer
deals two cards which are consecutive,
like a Queen and a King, then the
computer tells you in a nice way that
you have no chance of winning.
